Warm congratulations to Gu Xiaobin for winning the "RSC Outstanding Student Honor Program"

In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of the University-Royal Society of Chemistry Student Club Project (2014-2024), and to further witness and encourage the efforts and achievements of young students, the Royal Society of Chemistry specially launched the RSC Outstanding Student Honor Program Award. Gu Xiaobin, a doctoral student in the research group, won the award with his excellent results.

Gu Xiaobin said: Winning this award is a great encouragement to me. It will spur me to continue working hard on my academic path and make more important contributions to future low-carbon energy research and sustainable development.

Gu Xiaobin, a doctoral student at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made a series of research results on the rational design of high-efficiency, stable and low-cost electron acceptor materials, focusing on low-carbon and green energy-oriented organic solar cells. He has set several efficiency records for organic solar cells. As the first author, he has published 9 SCI papers in internationally renowned materials/chemistry journals such as Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., CCS Chem., and J. Mater. Chem. A, and has been granted 2 Chinese national invention patents. He has won many awards including the President's Excellence Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
